The product, in the report: SimRan SM-250R step-down foreign travel converter (50W)

Simran SM-250R step-down foreign travel voltage converter caused a fire. The product advertises voltage conversion for products not exceeding 50 Watts and is fuse protected. I was operating the product with a 45 Watts load. The fuse did not blow in the voltage converter. After about 15 minutes, the plastic casing melted and the product was very hot; smoke was rising. Since I was lucky to be nearby, I stopped the problem. The voltage converter may have a design flaw since it caught fire without the fuse blowing.
