The product, in the report: This is a dual port USB charger. I believe PowerGEN is a re-badge; I don’t think they are the actual manufacturer. Their name does not appear on the product. However, the part number, 10W-CQM001 does. I found a NRTL listing for this part number here: http://www.certipedia.com/certificates/72122684?locale=en&page_number=1 This suggests that Shenzhen APOKIN Science & Technology Co., Limited is the actual manufacturer.

Purchased a dual USB charger from Amazon.com (item PGCH2P2AUS-WH, URL here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073FE1F0/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My 8 year old daughter mentioned that she got shocked when her arm touched her [REDACTED] and the microwave door at the same time while her [REDACTED] was charging. I’m an electrical engineer, and investigated. Microwave door was bonded to earth, and the return line of the charger was at 51VAC! It is indeed enough to shock you - fairly painful. Isolated the charger in an outlet and measured 51.79VAC from the USB shell to earth. The isolation has either failed, or never worked.

    Dangerous product.
