The product, in the report: Barnes & Nobles Nook Color - E-reader (the original ones made) - Charger
My Nook Color charger melted right where it plugs into the Nook Color itself. I called Barnes and Nobles Nook Customer Service and they originally told me there was nothing they could do since it was out of warranty. It may have been caused by the chips in it being too old. I asked where in my paperwork did it tell me that after 3-4 years I would need to replace it. Also, that on their website other people stated this as a problem in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Yet I was never informed that my charger may be faulty. Suddenly they were offering to replace my charger.
They knew about this years ago and never informed consumers.
