The product, in the report: Kensington computer adapter
I bought a Kensington computer adapter model AD-80S within the last year. The first one had to be replaced due to malfunctioning, the second one got so hot at the jack of the computer, it melted the plastic and broke off inside my computer and the third one the pack of it ends up getting so hot that it smells like it is burning. I unplug it and can’t touch it for a couple of minutes due to it being so hot. If i don’t unplug it regularly I am afraid that it will cause a fire. I have had no problems with adapters getting this hot on any other computer I have had. This is one that I bought at Best Buy to replace the adapter that come with my computer.
