The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Portable car battery starter

My Whistler group Jump and Go portable power supply was on the charger for 2 hours, I was upstairs when I hear a loud POP, I then went downstairs to the kitchen to investigate and found that my kitchen was on fire. I was able to mostly put the fire out, proceeded to call the fire department who made sure everything was ok and to help ventilate the house.

After all of this happened, I got in touch with the company to let them know what happened, and hoping that maybe they would pay for the cleaning of the mess it all created, all I have been getting is nothing answers, “send us the battery and we will investigate to see if it is at fault” then, their insurance company says that “maybe” they would pay for depreciated value to replace damaged things, and I need to go through my own insurance and “maybe if they are at fault” they will be reimbursed. I don’t think so, I should not have to be out of pocked for my deductible, and have a claim on my insurance.
