I bought a replacement power cord for my daughter’s HP entertainment PC from Amazon.com> See copied info below. I got a recall notice from Amazon.com about HP power cords and did not think it applied to this purchase. My daughter just called me to say the power cord was shooting sparks and started smoking. It was very hot. She disconnected it and put it in a metal pot so it could not cause a fire.
