The product, in the report: FSP GROUP INC. NB65 AC/DC Adapter. Model # FSPO65-AAC. The cord is black, and it has SP written in silver letters on the rectangular box part of the cord.

I have been using a cord for my laptop for a few years without problem. The other day I was using my laptop and noticed that it was not charging, even though it was plugged in. I pulled the cord up from the floor to check to make sure it was working correctly, and noticed that part of the cord was sparking and smoking, and it also formed a brief small flame. I immediately unplugged the cord and it stopped sparking and smoking. When I looked at the cord, the outside was all melted away and the wires are exposed.
