Regarding the ADP-36EH AC Adapter for Asus Eee PC we purchased through Amazon from Aftermarket on March 28, 2011.
Our son was upstairs in his room playing on our Asus Eee PC netbook. The netbook and the cord were on the floor on carpeting. Our son left the room for around an hour then returned to play on the netbook again. He immediately called my husband upstairs because there was a message on the screen about low battery life. When [REDACTED] got upstairs, he could smell hot electronics and discovered the box on the cord was very hot and melting. It even has carpeting melted to the box.
