The product, in the report: American Tourister international adaptor The model no is 3172
I plugged the adaptor into an extension lead that was plugged into a 240v socket and in so doing received a shock through my little finger from 1 of the 2 metal pins on the reverse side of the plug that were retracted in the adaptor housing. I was thrown backwards in the room. Fortunately I landed on a bed as I was in a bedroom. i was unhurt other than a bit shocked and slight tingling in my arm. However I am 33 wks pregnant and so on consultation with the medical services was referred to the hospital. An ultrasound revealed that the baby’s heartbeat appears normal so hopefully there is no damage to the baby.
