  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 20, 2012, sent to the company Jan 8, 2013, published by CPSC Jan 23, 2013

The product, in the report: Brand: Safety First Product: Press ‘N Pull Plug Protectors Model #: 48443 Product Dimensions: 2.5 x 3.8 x 7.8 inches ; 2.1 ounces Description: Easy For Adults To Remove & Clips To Cords For Safekeeping. Plug Protector Covers One Electrical Socket. Deter Children From Putting Sharp Objects Or Fingers Into Unused Electrical Outlets

This report is in regards to Safety First’s Press n’ Pull Plug Protectors. These plug protectors are too easy to remove and therefore create a false sense of security among parents and caregivers. I owned these covers and my 22 month old started removing them like it was a game. It was scary, a product that I thought was supposed to protect my child was actually attracting my child! When I went to Amazon.com to write a negative review about the plug protectors I found other parents that had the same experience! One parent even posted a video of her child removing the covers! (Please click on the link to read the concerns and see the video) http://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Outlet-Plugs-Pack/dp/B00005C5XX/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1356045526&sr=8-6&keywords=safety+first+outlet+covers I am actually surprised that this product has not been recalled yet. I see them being sold in stores and know that new parents (like I once was) will be attracted to these covers don’t understand how dangerous they can be. Please please recall this item!!! I am confident that you will take this recommendation seriously.

Purchased Safety 1st Press n’ Pull Plug Protector to prevent our 2 year son from putting things in outlet. This design is suppose to help adults open easier with little leaver in the middle, however my 2 yo was able to grab sides with his little fingers and remove both in less than 10 seconds. He was able to do this on multiple locations in our home http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3502244
