The product, in the report: Childsafe Plug and Outlet Cover- This is a white plastic cover that is placed over an electrical wall plate and contains a cover/box to conceal outlets and plugs. Model S-4555
Hello, I purchased a total of six “Childsafe” “Plug and Outlet Cover” from ebay seller “coaxkid”. This product contains a faceplate that is installed over the existing faceplate of an electrical outlet and a outlet cover box to seal off electrical outlets and conceal plugs from a child. The box has a tab on each side that should be pressed to remove the cover.
Upon installing the cover I found that it was very easily removed with a very gentle tug on the cover. I installed a second cover and experienced exactly the same problem.
I feel that if for a brief moment that if this product was the only thing preventing a child from electrocution that they could die.
I have recorded a video showing the item is unsafe and attempted to attach it, but it does not seem it worked. I created a google photos link instead [REDACTED]
