The product, in the report: Product name: Pottery Barn Delaney Round Marble C-Table SKU: 9567547 Type: C-shaped side table / accent table Finish: Bronze & Banswara Marble Dimensions: Approximately 10” diameter 24” high Marble top thickness: Approximately 0.5” Overall product weight: Approximately 9.25 lb Detached marble top weight: Approximately 5.5 lb Purchase year: 2021

While I was cleaning, I slightly tilted a C-shaped side table with a marble top so that I could vacuum underneath it. Without warning, the entire marble tabletop completely detached from the metal base and fell approximately 2 feet to the bathroom floor.

The marble top weighs approximately 5.5 pounds. It struck the tile floor with enough force to crack the marble top into two pieces and scuff the bathroom tile.

I was standing immediately next to the table when the top fell, and it landed very close to my feet. I was not physically injured, but if the marble top had fallen slightly differently, it could have struck my foot or ankle and caused a serious injury.

The tabletop appears to have been attached to the base with adhesive. After the incident, it appeared that the adhesive securing the marble top had degraded or failed completely, allowing the heavy stone top to detach from the table during ordinary handling.

The product, in the report: Chapman Oval Marble Pedestal Dining Table From pottery barn 70” l x 46” w x 30.5” h

I bought the Chapman Oval Marble Pedestal Dining Table from Pottery Barn

Within a few months an oval circle formed on the table which became a crack. The length of this table is exactly where it is not supported underneath the table. The center part is support by wood, the outer rim has a second piece of marble attached to it weighing it down. I’ve been calling Pottery Barn over and over again to pick it up. I finally got a pick up date scheduled for March 13th Saturday between 7am-9am, no one came. I called them at 1pm informing them that I’m waiting for a pick up when I was informed that the pick up was canceled. Ive been trying to reschedule over and over again even though they are the ones at fault. But no one has called to reschedule or called me back. Today, March 29th, the outer rim of the table fell off and almost smashed my young 5 year old daughters foot. This whole experience is extremely frustrating and dangerous.

The product, in the report: Tempered-glass tabletop for Pottery Barn Riviera outdoor patio sectional.

    POTTERY BARN EXPLODING GLASS TABLETOP.

We bought a Pottery Barn “Riviera” outdoor sectional last summer. It was delivered and assembled on [REDACTED]. We used the sectional and tempered-glass tabletop without incident last summer and fall. However, because the weather has been so wet and lousy this summer in Minnesota, we just got around to putting out the glass tabletop this past Sunday night 7/13/14.

So, around 5:00pm my wife and I brought the glass tabletop out of our house, used [REDACTED] on both sides to clean it, and placed it on the coffee table of our sectional set. (The glass was NOT cracked or damaged in anyway at that time.)

However, WITHIN AN HOUR, we looked out our window see what seemed like more than a thousand glass shards and pieces all over our patio. The glass exploded in all directions. We found glass more than 25 feet away in your yard, garden and pool area.

    Luckily, no one was injured!

While temperature fluctuations (between indoor and outdoors) could potentially be an explanation for this exploding glass occurrence, that possibility never would have occurred to us given that this furniture is made for OUTDOOR USAGE where temperatures fluctuate quite regularly.

Plus, this potential danger of exploding glass is NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE in the product information that accompanied our purchase from Pottery Barn. (For the record, our indoor temperature was 74 degrees and the outdoor temperature was about 75 degrees when we placed the glass tabletop on the sectional coffee table.)

We asked Pottery Barn for a quick remedy to this situation as we did not spend several thousand dollars on this Riviera sectional set to have to deal with this sort of mess, as well as the potential danger of exploding glass.

Pottery Barn has yet to acknowledge the seriousness of this potential safety hazard, in spite of numerous attempts on our part to notify them of the situation.
