The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Aluminum Patio Furniture, Outdoor Dining Table (84” x 60”) - Oasis Patio Set

I bought the Oasis 11 Piece Patio Set from Macy’s. After less than 3 months of use, while ten people were sitting around the table, the glass table (84” x 60”) simply shattered on its own. The broken shards cut the legs and ankles of my guests. All of the serving plates were broken and shattered when the table gave out. I called up Macy’s daily for a week, and in the end, they want to refer me to the manufacturer. They are simply “washing their hands” of this serious safety matter. I had my young nephews in the house that day, and they could have easily been hurt during the glass table explosion. There was no overbearing loads on the table. There was no umbrella attached, and the table is under a fixed canopy overhang, so it is not in direct sunlight.
