No one hurt Made Jan 6, 2016, sent to the company Jan 14, 2016, published by CPSC Feb 10, 2016
The product, in the report: Mainstay palmerton landing 5- piece bar height patio dining set seats 4
We own an approx. 8 month old “Mainstays Palmerton Landing 5-piece bar height patio dining set “ bought in May 17 2015. We live in South Georgia near Albany. This morning as our family was getting ready for work/school and were all standing in the kitchen and heard what sounded like an explosion of glass come from the back porch and I look out the doors and see it was the patio table. Our furniture is in an enclosed porch and the table top was bare except a few pieces of mail... Could have been the temperature outside. We are really not sure what happened I know nothing was on it nothing fell on it or was even near it. Also, the set is sold as outdoor furniture and I read no warning of spontaneous shattering it could have been very dangerous... I took some photos in case you want them they don’t say much other than broken table though....just wanted people to know that know what to do with this info. If you need more ask I’ll tell you what I know.

No one hurt Made Jul 9, 2014, sent to the company Jul 17, 2014, published by CPSC Jul 31, 2014
The product, in the report: Mainstays Lawson Ridge 5-Piece Patio Dining Set - Red
We bought the Mainstays Lawson Ridge 5-Piece Patio Dining Set in red. The glass for the table top is specified as safety tempered glass. On 6/18/2014 the table top shattered without any reason. It was a sunny day with little to no wind. The umbrella was not in the hole and no one was touching or near the table. The table shattered into smaller cube like pieces however there were still multiple large sharp pieces that did not shatter as they should. The larger pieces made for a more difficult clean up since they were jagged. There was no warning or reason for the spontaneous shattering. No cracks or chips or any other deformities were visible during the previous times we ate out there.
