The product, in the report: Kitchen table base for glass top
Johnston Casual has created a kitchen table base called Jeremy. It support a 48 inch 1/2 inch think table top (in my kitchen) but only on 2 sides. When even the slightest weight is placed on the 2 non-supported sides the table flips up. When a child leans on the top and there is hot coffee on the table it can scald the child. It is inherently dangerous to have a table base that only supports a top on two sides.
I have spoken to the owner, [REDACTED] but he refuses to do anything and I am concerned a child will be hurt. It is a kitchen top and childen lean on kitchen tops.
Johnston Casuals may have taken down some pictures of the product from its web site recently but at least one JE-133-SET is still up as of this writing.
