No one hurt Made Sep 7, 2022, sent to the company Sep 12, 2022, published by CPSC Sep 26, 2022
The product, in the report: The base for the table is metal with a light wood looking finish that resembles a star. The glass top had a beveled edge.
My glass table was set for 3 with plates, utensils, place mats and glasses on Friday, 9/2/22. On 9/3, I was sitting at the table talking on the phone, I got up and went to the other end of the room and started up the stairs when I heard a loud explosion. I sat down stunned and saw that my glass table top had exploded into a million pieces. I could (or anyone else) have been badly injured if closer or sitting at the table. The explosion sent glass (all sizes) across the entire room and there were small sparkles of glass embedded in the wall, floors, etc. Pieces of glass were discovered 4’ under the carpet that the sofa was on.
