  1. No one hurt

Made Jun 25, 2018, sent to the company Jul 3, 2018, published by CPSC Jul 18, 2018

The product, in the report: Hokku Designs Grande Dining Table Glass table top measuring 6’ x 3.5’ With two wooden legs that are slanted and bolted onto a metal surface attached to the glass top. https://www.foagroup.com/grand-view-i-1779.html

I purchased a table from Joss & Main fulfilled by Furniture of America E-Commerce by Enitial Lab. This was delivered Dec 10, 2016.

The table crashed yesterday, as one of the legs slipped off entirely, and caused the table to fall to the ground (damaging the floor) and also breaking the leg that still remained attached to the glass. It seems that the metal that was attached to the glass lost suction/adhesion to the glass, causing it to suddenly detach from the glass surface. The crash led to damage of both the wood (splitting) and the metal mount (warping) on the other leg. This is pretty serious since the glass panel is very heavy and we are glad that there were no children or pets in the room at the time, and that no one was hurt.
