The product, in the report: Hekman Coffee Table Model 27740 Lot # KP067002010 Designed in USA - Made in Indonesia
Hekman Model 27740 coffee table broke off it’s base and collapsed when my husband sat on the edge while watching our baby grandchild. If his foot or the baby had been under the table a serious injury or death would have occurred. I believe it is a design flaw that makes it very dangerous and unsteady as a coffee table. It looked like some very thin wire nails were all that held the base to the rounded “legs” of the very heavy table.
