The product, in the report: Garden Treasures Cascade Patio Table Item # 493700

I purchased the garden treasures cascade patio set from Lowes (item #493700) in June of 2015. The tempered glass table shattered without any previous damage, wind, hail or rain coming in contact with it. When we stood up to exit the table, the glass spontaneously combusted. After reading about 50+ reviews online, most from the Lowes website, I see that this has happened to MANY consumers who purchased this table. My 7 year old daughter was literally covered in shattered glass on her ankles and feet. She was not cut but was scared about what happened. I contacted Lowes who put me in touch with Garden Treasures who truly did not care about my complaint. The woman said they use a third party manufacturer for the glass and there was nothing I could do since it was not covered under warranty. This clearly is a safety issues and the glass needs to be replaced with a thicker piece of glass or refunded.
