The product, in the report: Store Item Number (DPCI): 249-16-6967

(11/6/16) The consumer and her boyfriend began to assemble the table. The consumer said as she was touching the metal pieces, the spray that was used to coat the metal to give it a distressed look began to stain her fingers. The consumer noticed that her fingers were a gray color and she noticed a strong odor. The consumer states that her boyfriend also noticed the odor and his fingers were gray. The consumer indicated that the odor coming from the table was strong and she moved it to her garage. The consumer began to have a headache and the next morning she did not feel well. The consumer believes these symptoms were due to the tables off gas odor. The consumer states that she scrubbed her fingers for two days and the gray stains have not completely come off.

The consumer believes the coating on the metal pieces of the table is teflon. The consumer believes that this coating is used on other items in their Franklin Furniture Collection. The consumer believes this coating is not safe and poses a health hazard.

The consumer has called Target and expressed her safety concerns and they advised her to return the table.

The consumer indicated that she picked up the table on November 5, 2016 from a local Target store in New Jersey.

The consumer plans to return the table for a refund.

The consumer does not plan to seek medical attention.
