How badly anyone was hurt

The product, in the report: 1 Mirror Glass Sofa Table called from the store “Reflection” 1 Mirror Glass Cocktail Table also called “Reflection”

I bought a set of 2 End Table, 1 Sofa Table and 1 Cocktail Table called “Reflection” at Bob’s Discount Furniture. The set is made of Mirror Glass. Months later I noticed a crack in one of the corners/joints where I also noticed the glass from one side to the other side were too close from each other making me to understand the reason of why they got cracked was because they dilated. I got really concerned as we have a one year old boy that can get hurt because of those cracked mirror glass. That happened on the cocktail table and the center sofa table by now. I contacted Bob’s Discount Furniture and addressed to them my concern but unfortunately they didn’t care about it.

The product, in the report: Dining table

This is what I posted to facebook

On January 6, 2018, purchased a matinee bar table set from Bob’s Discount Furniture. We purchased the extra “goof proof protection” because I NEED MY PEACE OF MIND. Ok fine!

June 14, 2018, walked in my house at 3:30pm from a LONG day at work only to see glass particles EVERYWHERE! My first thought was ok? Was I burglarized? Is my house alarm system not working? Are other items missing from my home? Answer to all 3? NO!

After further Inspection, what seemed like a sturdy product has now literally EXPLODED all over my living room wood floors. NO, no one burglarized my house. NO, no one smashed into it. NO, NOTHING was on top of the table. We rarely if EVER even SIT in that section of our house but here we are with glass EVERYWHERE!

But hey! I know I purchased extra protection so this will be no problem. I called Bob’s customer service at 4:00pmto get this rectified. I was cool calm and collected because I just KNEW, this is clearly a no brainer. Spoke with [REDACTED]- very nice woman, Informed her of the issue. However, to my UTTER DISDAIN, she tells me even though I have extra coverage and even though it IS covered, they will not be able to replace the item because “unless it was accidental damage, goof proof does not cover that”. I beg your pardon?????? Ok [REDACTED], thank you, but let me speak to your supervisor please. After about 10mins of hold time I’m now transferred to [REDACTED], the account manager. [REDACTED] went over all the warranties I had in place with a fine tooth comb only to tell me even though it is covered, it is essentially, NOT COVERED. Why? “Well because you cant provide a reason as to why it broke, then we cant replace it. So yes, even though your warranties DO cover your purchase, because its NOT accidental, then we cant send a technician out” What kinda [REDACTED] is this!??

So you’re telling me, if I had called and said, “sorry, I tripped and fell into my table and it broke” THEN, you would replace it but because your product CLEARLY is defective and flimsy, then, you cant? So what is the point of your EXTRA protection? How does that make ANY sense?? CLEARLY Bob’s Furniture, doesnt believe its clientele has a modicum of sense. CLEARLY they believe they can insult your Intelligence and get away with it. CLEARLY, even if you’re a loyal customer, even AFTER they disserviced you in the past and you forgave them and STILL went back and made purchases and paid your bill on time AND purchase extra protection - IT DOES NOT MATTER!!!! I am hurt. I am angry. I am DISGUSTED. I am flabbergasted. I am downright offended. I will NOT stop until my item is replaced or I’m compensated. At this point, I dont even want this despicable excuse of workmanship in my home...and for BOBS DISCOUNT FURNITURE to offer anything less is a disgrace!!!!
