  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 21, 2021, sent to the company Mar 9, 2021, published by CPSC Mar 23, 2021

    The product, in the report: Linen Cabinet 24” W x 71-1/4” H x 20” D

Caller is reporting that the tower linen cabinet has developed vertical cracks in between the drawers and the front left leg of the unit. She stated that over 3 years it has got worse. Caller stated that she noticed this incident about 1 year ago. I first contacted support@wyndhamcollection.com in Oct 2020 & provided shots and didn’t get a reply. I attempted again in Jan. ‘21’ and after emails & calls on Jan 14th I got an email stating it would be replaced. The NEXT DAY, Jan. 15th I got an email rescinding the offer due to warranty issues. (it was over 2 yrs old.) The company was contacted about 6 months ago, they advised that the product was defective and would provide a replacement. However, 1 day later they rescinded the offer and informed her that due the fact that the product was over 2 years old the offer did not stand.

Caller feels that due to these vertical cracks (especially in the left leg) into the 71 inch cabinet it poses a safety hazard. She stated that if it should tip over where it is located could trap someone in the bathroom or much worse kill someone.

The vertical crack in the left front leg is now 6” long.
