As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Alana Large Bookshelf in black from Urban Outfitters (URL: https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/alana-large-bookshelf?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=001)

On 2/15/23 my Alana Large Bookshelf from Urban Outfitters collapsed unexpectedly. One of the legs bent/snapped off and caused the shelf to fall on one side. The items on the shelf were under the allowed weight limit, and this furniture piece is only a little over a year old. Thankfully we were not hurt, but it could have been much worse if we were close by or the shelf fell in a different direction. We were able to clear the shelf off and contact Urban Outfitters customer support, but they were unhelpful in the matter.
