The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Nov 5, 2013, sent to the company Nov 13, 2013, published by CPSC Nov 27, 2013

The product, in the report: 1. Media Cabinets for CD/DVD storage and 2. Entertainment Stand for TV/VCR. Made of solid wood with wood veneer and covered with a clear coating of unknown composition.

The magnets supplied with this furniture are too strong. My wife tipped over one of the media cabinets while attempting to open the doors, causing bruises on her upper chest. We described the problem to the manufacturer and they sent us replacement magnets. But these are no different from the original ones. We have resorted to sticking small felt pads on the magnets to mitigate the effects, but now the doors won’t stay closed.
