No one hurt Made Feb 9, 2023, sent to the company Mar 21, 2023, published by CPSC Apr 5, 2023
The product, in the report: Bathroom Medicine Cabinet
The consumer indicates that him and his wife were across the hall when they heard a loud explosion. When they checked the bathroom, they noticed that the middle door of the unit had shattered; the other two side doors were intact.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; the representative he spoke to informed him that someone would get back to him.
The consumer notes that he has two other same medicine cabinets in his home and is afraid they might shatter as well.
The consumer plans on keeping his medicine cabinet for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

The product, in the report: 24 in. W x 30 in. H Framed Recessed or Surface-Mount Bathroom Medicine Cabinet in Brushed Nickel
We purchased and installed two Glacier Bay medicine cabinets from Home Depot approximately two years ago. They are both falling apart at the hinges. The safety concern is that the doors fall off and the mirrors break and both cause physical injury.

The product, in the report: Bathroom medicine cabinet w/mirror http://www.homedepot.com/p/Glacier-Bay-20-in-x-30-in-Recessed-or-Surface-Mount-Medicine-Cabinet-with-Oval-Beveled-Mirror-SP4452/202070555
Bathroom medicine cabinet purchased from Home Depot 11/5/2014 and installed in an upstairs bathroom by a contractor, Glacier Bay 20 in. x 30 in. Recessed or Surface Mount Medicine Cabinet with Oval Beveled Mirror, SKU 6948958644522. We actually have two of the cabinets installed in the same bathroom, the second one appears fine as of this moment. We returned from vacation on Saturday July 30, 2016 to find the mirror had detached from the hinge and was lying shattered on the bathroom vanity counter and on the floor. The mirror was attached to the hinge with double-sided foam tape, which had failed, allowing the mirror to detach.

Hurt, no treatment Made Mar 1, 2015, sent to the company Mar 10, 2015, published by CPSC Mar 24, 2015
The product, in the report: Glacier Bay 37 in. x 30 in. Mirrored Surface Mount Medicine Cabinet in Oak Model # TG36-OA. Sold at Home Depot.
In 2013, Home Depot sold me a Medicine Cabinet. Yesterday, the large center mirrored door’s hinges both simultaneously broke and the door struck and injured my wife. I believe these hinges are made of ‘pot metal’ and I believe that is a very poor choice of material for a hinge.

The product, in the report: Wall Mounted Medicine Cabinet - Two Mirrored Doors (one larger than the other) 30”x26”
Two Glacier Bay Double Door Mirrored medicine cabinets (288-787) are mounted over a double-sink vanity. Heard a loud crash and found that the one larger mirror had separated and fallen off gouging the vanity top and then hitting the floor and cracking. Afraid that it might happen to the second cabinet as well.
