Hurt, care not known Made Dec 23, 2025, sent to the company Dec 31, 2025, published by CPSC Jan 15, 2026
The product, in the report: Amish solid maple sideboard
purchased Amish solid maple furniture finished with catalyzed varnished to avoid VOCs from furniture made from MDF. The strong odor from the furniture caused headaches dizziness burning in throat. Aired out, with fans and open windows for three months, didn’t work. called the company. By the time they did anything smell seemed to only be on the inside of the cabinet, lessened than when first delivered, but they took the cabinet to their warehouse for a month anyway to air out, re-delivered, odor was still there but better than it was. I closed the cabinet and after a few days I went to fill the cabinet and upon opening the cabinet the odor was stronger than ever. Got a headache and became dizzy. Closed cabinet, opened windows, put fans on to air out home.
