The product, in the report: Pottery Barn “PB Standard Glass Oval Finial” large size - 2.75” x 6.5” sold as a set of 2 in three different finish types and two size options (.75” and 1.25” diameter options). Link to product page here: https://www.potterybarn.com/products/pb-standard-glass-oval-finial-antique-bronze/?_br_psugg_q=glass+finial
Purchased Pottery Barn oval glass finials (decorative ends to curtain rods). Within an hour of installing the new finials on the curtain rods, the glass portion of the finial separated from the pewter portion of the finial, falling 8 feet to the ground. Upon closer inspection, it appears the glass (which weighs several pounds) came unglued from the pewter, causing it to fall. No one in my home was hurt. However, we hung these curtains in our children’s bedroom - directly above a bed and crib. Had these fallen at a different time, our children could have been seriously injured.
