The product, in the report: London Luxury’s Allergy Luxe(R) Premium Bed Bug Barrier; full size box spring cover

(12/22/15) The consumer put the cover on his box spring. The consumer noticed a strange odor coming from the cover. The consumer noticed on the packing it indicated Arm & Hammer baking soda was used to provide a freshness smell.

(12/23/15) The consumer woke up and felt itchiness over his body, primarily in his head and legs.

(12/23/15) The consumer found the firm’s phone number on the packaging. The consumer contacted the firm (877-636-2100) to express his safety concerns and obtain information about the cover. The consumer was advised by the Rep. (name unknown) that the strange odor was from coating of laminate that was used on the cover. The consumer informed the Rep. he had problems with bed bugs a few months ago and it was the reason he purchased the cover. The consumer states the Rep. blamed his symptoms on the chemicals and products used to eliminate the bed bugs. However, the consumer is sure that the bed bug products are not the cause of his symptoms and he states the products were used more than a month prior to purchasing the cover.

(12/26/15) The consumer returned the cover to the store where he purchased it.

The consumer states he has been losing a lot of hair on his head and his legs. The consumer believes the cover has toxic materials and should be removed from the market.

The consumer visited a physician and the Doctor advised him he was an allergic reaction. The Doctor advised the consumer they could not assist and he would need to seek a specialist.
