  1. Emergency room

Made Aug 12, 2020, sent to the company Sep 4, 2020, published by CPSC Sep 21, 2020

The product, in the report: Sutera Memory Foam Pillow UPC 810037741957

I purchased a Sutera memory foam pillow. Upon opening the package, there was a very strong chemical odor to the pillow. I let it air out a couple of days and then slept on it. After sleeping for 3 hours, I woke up in a panic gasping for air. I felt like the room was spinning around me, my heart was racing, my skin felt prickly, I was short of breath and I ended up violently vomiting several times. My Mom called 911 and I ended up taking an ambulance to the Emergency Room. I had to get an IV filled with fluids, along with [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] (for nausea and vomiting). It is 6 days later and I am still suffering with nausea & continue to take [REDACTED].

While at the ER, my Mom removed the pillow from my room and moved it into the garage. She felt shortness of breath for the remainder of the day.

I believe this Sutera memory foam pillow is filled with toxins and needs to be immediately taken off of the market and the company needs to be held accountable for their negligence.

    Thank you,

    [REDACTED]
