  1. No one hurt

Made Jun 11, 2026, sent to the company Jun 30, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 15, 2026

The product, in the report: meditation cushion crescent shaped - buckwheat hulls filled. Sold by both Retrospec and Sweet Home Collection Stores in Amazon. I’m not able to verify if the Sweet Home Collection cushion was infested since the first delivery came with one from each seller (white and green cushions) and the bugs came out. The second delivery was from Retrospec so for sure that one was infested.

I received book lice-infested products from Amazon on two separate occasions. The products were zafu meditation cushions with buckwheat hulls fill (crescent style). The items were purchased for personal use and had not yet been used when the infestation was discovered upon delivery. The first infested shipment spread book lice to my living room walls and furniture. I spent an entire day decontaminating my home. I reported this to Amazon customer service and was assured the issue was addressed. A second shipment of the same product type arrived also infested with book lice. Since then, I have been forced to quarantine all Amazon deliveries in a sealed plastic container to inspect for insects before bringing items inside my home. No physical injury occurred, but the repeated infestation has caused significant stress and disruption to my household.
