The product, in the report: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3046068&prodFindSrc=rv It’s a yellow memory foam pillow with a “relax right” tag on it. I have photos of the chewed pillow if you need it.
I purchased the RelaxRight toddler pillow for my daughter who is 21 months old. I purchased it from toys r us online. It’s a “memory foam” pillow designed for toddlers.
I woke up yesterday morning and walked into my daughter’s bedroom to find foam bits in her hair, stuck to her lips, all over her, the crib, and a 2 ft radius around the crib. I found that she unzipped the cover and bit and gouged hunks of the pillow. Upon further inspection I found I could easily push the pillow apart myself with little to no effort.
I called her pediatrician and they instructed me to also alert NJ poison control. They told me that if she is presenting normally and wasn’t showing signs of choking she was okay.
I feel lucky that she did not choke and I don’t want anyone else to have that happen to them. I am very disappointed in that RelaxRight pillow.
