The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made Nov 22, 2020, sent to the company Dec 14, 2020, published by CPSC Dec 30, 2020

The product, in the report: Mainstays White Firm standard-size pillow (20 inches x 28 inches.) The receipt lists it as: MS FIRM SQ 002569598424. UPC 0 34086 77488 3

Severe itching and burning on the back of my head immediately after getting into bed to sleep on a new pillow purchased from Walmart Store # 06286 (no problems before this event.) I switched to a different pillow and the itching and burning was greatly reduced immediately. It took five days and several thorough hair-washings to stop the itching completely. The next day, 17 NOV 2020, I cut off the tag with some shell fabric and removed some of the filling, when I touched the Filling (Batting) my fingers immediately began to itch and burn similar to fiberglass fibers. Washing my hands stopped it. The pillow brand (from the Consumer Tag with Registration Number CA 46504 (OK)) is: Mainstays, Made for Walmart Stores Inc. 702 S.W. Eighth St., Bentonville, AR 72716. Federal Registration Number 52469. Date of delivery: August 2020. I did not keep the entire pillow, just the Tags, some Shell fabric and some filling (Batting.)
