The product, in the report: Infant Neck Pillow
1-month-old infant was placed in a car seat with a neck pillow around the neck and buckled the chest and bottom buckles by grandmother around 6 pm. She tucked 3 thin blankets loosely around him over the buckled straps and went outside. Per DCFS narrative, Grandmother pulled a blanket over his head to protect him from the cold weather while outside. It is unknown whether car seat was securely attached on top of a stroller as each part came from different resources. Per SUIDI form, blankets were not obstructing airways. 20 minutes later they came back inside, and mom found him unresponsive same position with blood coming from nose. 911 was called and transported him to ED where he was pronounced.
