The product, in the report: Sold by Babyeaux and advertised on Facebook: a large, “comfy elephant pillow” that is a risk factor for SIDS/SUID in infants; potential for a baby to suffocate in this product.
I am a retired RN and was the Sudden Infant Death coordinator for my state’s health department. I have already submitted my concern to this agency on a different page (so you might see it twice). I have also sent an email to the seller via a Facebook message and also a note to the First Candle/SIDS Alliance.
Product: Comfy Elephant Pillow. Sold by Babyeux. I believe this product is unsafe and is a risk factor for SIDS or SUID in infants. It is a large, plush and soft stuffed animal with many folds and loose fabric that a baby could suffocate in. They are advertising it with pictures of babies cuddled up with it/on it. Potentially very dangerous for babies.
The product kept popping up as an advertisement on my Facebook page. I shuddered every time I saw it.
