The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Made Feb 14, 2021, sent to the company Mar 4, 2021, published by CPSC Mar 18, 2021

The product, in the report: Brushed Gold Kettle, Gold, 1 Liter, 8”h x 5.5” w

I used the kettle as described on the manufacturers website and water shot out of the spout. Concerning considering I have a gas stove and this could put the flame out. Not to mention it can cause burns.

Then I tried to use it with the lid off. Once I turned the heat off and put the lid on, the water once again shot out. I took the lid off. But when I leave the lid off, the steam burns my hand and arm when I pour the water out, even with a mitt on. Plus the water comes out of the top of the kettle, not just the spout, when I pour without the lid on, and spills everywhere, creating another burn hazard.

Plus, the paint from the manufacturing process has gotten inside the kettle and leeched into my water, causing another hazard.

I have a video which demonstrates this issue but the site will not allow me to upload it.
