While boiling 8 ounces of water in the stainless steel tea kettle on a gas range until it whisteled. She noticed that the plastic handle that also attaches to the spout had melted and liquefied at the spout.
She returned the tea kettle to the retailer and informed them of the concerns that she had with the product.
