First aid Made Sep 29, 2023, sent to the company Oct 5, 2023, published by CPSC Oct 20, 2023
The product, in the report: GROSCHE Monaco Glass Teapot with glass tea infuser, 42 fl oz
GROSCHE Monaco Glass Teapot is the product that I’m reporting. The teapot’s handle broke while I was pouring hot tea, it shuddered and hot tea spilled everywhere. I had a throw in top of me that saved me from the burns, but a piece of glass cut me deep in the side of my ankle. I handled the teapot with care and it wasn’t damaged or anything before the incident! I believe it’s the design and craftsmanship that caused the handle to break and therefore the unfortunate accident to happen. I hope you recall this product and look into anything similar to ensure other people won’t get hurt! The cut was deep enough to frighten me, and I’m glad it didn’t hit a major artery, otherwise I would have ended up in an emergency room. I always handled the teapot with care and only used it 3 or 4 times. It wasn’t damaged before the incident.

No one hurt Made Feb 20, 2012, sent to the company Feb 28, 2012, published by CPSC Mar 13, 2012
The product, in the report: Grosche Indigo Heatproof Glass Stovetop Water and tea kettle 1750 ml 59 fl oz. Tea pot cover has a design: blue stained glass ball as handle.
The Grosche kettle is an unsafe product. The seam on the glass handle has been showing water droplets which I thought were condensation. After noticing this for a week, when boiling water today, water was leaking and spurting from the seam of the handle. There is also a protruding sharp piece of glass on the upper inside part of the kettle. It seems the company has an inadequate means of inspecting the products before sending them out. Amazon has said they will refund the money for the kettle after I return it to them. They addressed the issue adequately even though they said the refund date had expired. I let them know this began after using the kettle for 1.5 months.
