The product, in the report: Descriptions on the box: Golden Star Imports, Traditional Teakettle high quality 18/10 stainless steel HEAVY DUTY Sandwich bottom Suitable for all hubs Stay cool knob and handle
I bought a 4 litter tea kettle from Golden Star Imports Inc., which had a thick base (kettle’s base, a thick layer of a metal, and another sheet of metal on top of that). Last night after half an hour when I understood that the kettle has ran out of water, I wanted to put it on the counter, the outer sheet of metal fell on the counter while the thick layer of metal, which was lead, was completely melted and dripping on the counter. Thanks God it didn’t drip on my foot because it would have melted my foot all the way to the bone. Is it safe to make the base of a kettle which will obviously be in direct contact with hot stove elements with Lead which its melting point is about 621? I know that the kettle had no water for about half an hour, but this should not happen to a kettle or they should have a warning that says if you leave it on stove without water for half an hour the bottom part of the kettle can melt and create very dangerous situation.
