The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: tea kettle

This is a “duty to defend”. I have purchased a tea kettle from what I thought was a reputable catalog company called: Ginny’s in Madison, WI. The first time I used the tea kettle on my flattop stove, the water burned out of it and when I went to remove the kettle, the handled had melted offl After grabbing hot pads to remove, the tea kettle had partially melted onto my stove damaging it. I am furnishing you pictures to prove what had happened. I could have been burned with the handles & lid melting!! Their company says the bottom of kettle was not damaged but I have pictures to prove different. It would cost me $500 to replace my stove top! I am on a fixed income and this company should be held liable for their product. I appreciate due process on this issue.
