The product, in the report: https://aeropress.com/products/aeropress-gold-tone-filter-standard This is a metal filter in rose gold. You put it in the AeroPress cap and plunge the coffee water through it to extract.
I was using the official AeroPress metal filter - https://aeropress.com/products/aeropress-gold-tone-filter-standard - and when taking it off the plunger to wash, it sliced my middle finger open. I needed two stitches on my fingertip.
I was using the product as documented to filter my coffee before drinking. I used an official AeroPress machine and the official filter. I didnt realize it had cut me, it was that sharp, until I saw blood. It was relatively deep and I still have a visible scar. It left a mid sized skin flap that died and fell off. It took a month to be able to use my finger like normal, and it still hurts time to time.
I dont know how to describe it other than I was washing it, and turned it in my right hand like Ive done every day for a year.
