The product, in the report: Pisklo Vanity desk & Power Outlet, Makeup Vanity with Mirror and 12 LED Lights, Makeup Table with 11 Drawers, Vanity Table with ChairVanity Set 3 Lighting Modes Brightness Adjustable

    Incident Summary

At approximately 7:50 PM, the [REDACTED] Volunteer Fire Department received a direct phone call from a resident reporting a shorted electrical plug and requesting assistance to evaluate a potentially hazardous condition.

Upon arrival at the residence, I made contact with the homeowner. The resident reported that her daughter was in her bedroom using a hair dryer at a makeup vanity table when she yelled that the desk was on fire.

The resident immediately responded by going upstairs to the bedroom. She unplugged the electrical receptacle from the wall outlet and discharged a household can of fire spray directly into the plug/receptacle area.

    Findings on Scene

Fire department personnel removed the electrical plug assembly from the side of the makeup table for inspection. The following conditions were observed:

Visible burn marks and heat damage on the electrical receptacle.

Charring and burn damage to the pressed wood material of the makeup table in the area immediately surrounding the receptacle.

Evidence consistent with localized electrical arcing or overheating at the receptacle connection point.

The resident stated the vanity makeup table was recently purchased from Wayfair. She indicated that at the time of the incident, only a single hair dryer was plugged into the receptacle and in use. No additional appliances or extension cords were connected.

    Injuries and Damage

    No injuries were reported.

Damage was confined to the electrical receptacle and adjacent pressed wood material of the vanity table.

The fire was extinguished prior to fire department arrival using consumer fire spray.

    Preliminary Observations

Based on visible damage, the incident appears to have originated at the integrated receptacle associated with the makeup table. The ignition source appears consistent with electrical failure, overheating, or internal shorting of the receptacle assembly while powering a standard household hair dryer.

The fire department is in possession of the plug.
