This safety concern deals with a Disney Tap Light that came with a sleeping bag set. The light is about 5.5” in diameter. The tap portion is located on top and is about the same diameter. When replacing the batteries (4 x 1.5AA) the battery compartment was melted. The compartment was so dis-formed that 4 new batteries couldn’t be placed in the compartment securely. The melted section also created a hole in the compartment that exposed some wires. The wires were also melted. I feel this could be a major problem that could be a fire hazard.

The information on the battery compartment cover is as follows: Disney Manufactured by Idea Nuova, Inc Made in China INI: 09101106622
