The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Emergency room

Made Mar 29, 2024, sent to the company Apr 2, 2024, published by CPSC Apr 16, 2024

The product, in the report: Dreamline Enigma Air Brushed Stainless Steel Frameless Sliding Glass Shower Door (frameless door with edge seals)

I was taking a shower in the master bathroom of the condominium. Suddenly and without impact, the glass door of the shower exploded, sending pieces of glass all over the floor, the shower, and my body. The explosion of glass was in both inward and outward directions relative to the showering area.

A large door (edge) seal from the shower door held large chunks of glass that fell onto my hand in a chainsaw like motion. Other portions of exploding glass landed in the toilet bowl, sink, and counter of the bathroom.

I was immediately in pain and suffered cuts over my body. My left hand squirted blood onto the wall and pools of blood formed in the shower from multiple cuts, deep gouges, and needlelike wounds.
