The product, in the report: D543-124 24” Dark Brown Swivel Barstool

I purchased three North Star Leather Swivel Bar Stools several years ago from Akinss Furniture in Dogtown, Alabama. During the years I have had these stools, my grandchildren have gotten their feet and hands smashed between the chair bottom and where the base swivels. There is a gap between where the seat bottom attaches to the base of stool. The gap is approximately one inch...just enough for a toe or finger to fit. When someone is getting into the chair beside them the chair turns or swivels and causes the weight of he chair to lean which catches the toe or finger inside this space. This happened today during lunch when I was preparing food for my three grandchildren. I turned around to hear a blood curdling scream from my granddaughter. Her big toe was stuck between the base and seat. It made a very deep depression injury which appeared to look like you had mashed your fingers inside a car door. The entire toe was injuried. I placed ice on the toe for over me hour. When her mom picked her up 4 hours later it was still depressed and very blue in color. The chairs are made by North Star with a serial number of539900045272.
