The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

    November 12, 2019 Figure 1Danderous Chair

On October 27th, I was sitting on my stool having my morning coffee. The seat sheared off and I went flying to the floor. My feet were caught in the collapsed metal legs. I am 76 years old and weigh 138. Luckily, except for my feet I was not injured. I did go to Urgent Care with an “impressive” hematoma on top of my right foot. Both feet still have soreness. Figure 2 Ten days Later

Here are some pictures to try to show how the chair seat came apart.

Also, about four, five months ago, the screw at the “X” of the right sided metal legs worked out of position and I went FLYING to the floor. Small, but bloody head wound and a scraped left arm. Again, no serious injury. My son repaired the break with a huge bolt and nut.

I am 99% sure I bought the chair online from Walmart about a year and half ago. I don’t have the receipt and my Walmart orders only go back a year. I was in Walmart the other day and see that they now carry these stools on the floor. I think Walmart should know that the chairs may collapse.

The chair’s Reg. No. is UT-2950(CN) and the company is Cheyenne Industries. It appears that is your company.

I did send you an e-mail about this problem but received no acknowledgment. I just believe you and Walmart should know about this chair. I believe it is dangerous.

The product, in the report: 24” bar stool

Hi. I would like to file a report about a chairs I purchased on Walmart.com in December. It was a 24” swivel chair. Last week I noticed my 19 month old daughter chewing on something. I checked and found a very small ball bearing. Come to find out it came from the chairs. I immediately put them away in the garage to keep it away from my daughter. Talking to Walmart customer service, I was told to call manufacturer which is Cheyenne Products. Got their phone #, called, no answer. Next step is to report unsafe product. Below link shows what king of chair it is. Please review and advise.
