  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Aug 5, 2014, sent to the company Aug 13, 2014, published by CPSC Sep 10, 2014

The product, in the report: Crown Mark counter high barstools , Delia 2793T-3048

We purchased the 5 pcs table and stool set at Homestyle Furniture in Laguna Hills on 12/30/13. On 1/7/14 the 1st stool collapsed under 108lbs weight when a teenager sat down. All four legs collapsed in different directions. The child injured her back & wrist but no medical attention was sought. We noticed the wood on ALL the chairs were cracked in the manufacturing process by the wood screws. We returned all 4 chairs to Homestyle Furniture and they were repaired with wood glue over the screws and cracked areas. We were also advised this null and voided any warranty and it would no longer be repaired or replaced in the future. On May 15th, the second stool, which had been repaired, collapsed under an adults weight in the same manner. We have discontinued using the chairs as we don’t believe they are safe.

The stools are Crown Mark Bar Stools (Delia) manufactured 7 of 2012.
