I purchased Christopher Knight Home Brinkley Backless Barstools from Overstock.com (now called Tate Backless Leather Counter Stool (Set of 2)) on April 2014. on June 17, 2015, I sat on the stool in a normal fashion. My foot made contact with the decorative metal footrest cover on the stool. The metal cover sliced open my left heel. My injury required six stitches, which I received immediately, along with pain medication. I am still recovering, dealing will some pain, swelling and some difficulty walking. I missed two days of work. I plan to have stitches removed this weekend. I located three other consumers who were injured on these barstools.

I had stitches removed June 27, 2015. It was at that time, the physician discovered infection. I was prescribed antibiotics, to be taken 4 times a day for a week.
