WHILE VACATIONING IN FLORIDA IN JUNE OF 2016 I PURCHASED A BEACH CHAIR FROM THE LOCAL CVS STORE ( 615 E 3rd Ave, New Smyrna Beach). ON JUNE 16TH I SAT DOWN N THE CHAIR AND THE RIGHT ARM BENT DOWN AND CRUSHED MY RIGHT INDEX FINGER BETWEEN THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ARM AND THE METAL SUPPORT LEG. MY FAMILY IMMEDIATELY GOT ICE FOR ME TO PUT ON IT. LATER THAT SAME DAY MY BROTHER TAPED MY INDEX FINGER TO MY MIDDLE FINGER TO KEEP IT STABILIZED. UPON MY RETURN TO [REDACTED], ON MONDAY JUNE 20TH I WENT TO MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN ([REDACTED]) TO HAVE IT EXAMINED AND XRAYED. THEY CONFIRMED THAT MY RIGHT INDEX FINGER WAS BROKEN IN TWO PLACES AND REFERRED ME TO AN ORTHOPEDIC HAND SPECIALIST ([REDACTED]). [REDACTED] TREATED ME OVER THE NEXT THREE TO FOUR MONTHS WITH EXAMS, XRAYS AND THE USE OF A SPLINT 24-7. I WAS RELEASED FROM THE HAND SPECIALIST IN SEPTEMBER AND AM LEFT WITH A KNOT RIGHT ON THE KNUCKLE. THE ISSUE HERE IS THAT CVS TAKES NO RESPONSILBILITY FOR THE PRODUCT WHATSOEVER AND REFERRED ME TO THEIR CHINESE SUPPLIER. THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TURN THEIR BACKS ON AN AMERICAN CONSUMER WHO IS INJURED FROM ONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS.
