The product, in the report: Juararo Panel Bedroom Sets

The bedroom sets I bought manufactured by Ashley about ONE year ago have a very strong and irritant smell. I’ve tried every means I could to eliminate the toxic odor, to name but a few, keep opening my windows most of the time to ensure air ventilation of my rooms, putting all the drawers outside to air them, and even using photocatalyst in every corner that formaldehyde could exist.

My husband coughed for more than a month when we first received the furniture, and my nose is very allergic to their odor.

I put a formaldehyde testing kit in one of the drawer of their furniture, and the result indicats that the formaldehyde concentration is FIVE times higher than the legitimate level!

Also I found that quite a few people experienced the same issue http://ashley-furniture.pissedconsumer.com

It’s suprising to find that Ashley Furniture, which is the largest furniture manufacturer in the U.S., poses such a great safety hazard to its customers, and not many American people are aware of the issue of formaldehyde. According to World Cancer Fund Research Fund International, U.S.A. ranks 6 among countries with the highest cancer frequency (source: http://www.wcrf.org/int/cancer-facts-figures/data-cancer-frequency-country). I am convinced that it has something to do with the formaldehyde issue in wood products sold in the U.S. market.
