  1. Hurt, care not known

The product, in the report: bedroom sets furniture

The furniture they manufactured are toxic and smelly. The bedroom sets I bought about ONE year ago still have a very strong and irritant smell. My husband coughed for more than a month when we first received the furniture, and my nose is very allergic to their odor. I’ve tried every means I could to eliminate the toxic odor, to name but a few, keep opening my windows most of the time to ensure air ventilation of my rooms, putting all the drawers outside to air them, and even spraying photocatalyst in every corner that formaldehyde could exist! I put a formaldehyde testing kit in one of the drawer of their furniture, and the result indicates that the formaldehyde concentration is FIVE times higher than the legitimate level! I tried to warn other people about this and keep them away from Ashley’s toxic furniture, but I found that my some of my online reviews were erased and Ashley never takes it seriously! I also reported to the Better Business Bureau twice, when I first successfully contacted the customer representative of Ashley and asked if they have any certified documents proving those furniture meet the requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act of TSCA, she replied no. It’s been 5 months and a half since I first reported this to them, never have they taken any actual action up till now. They just put your health in danger with no guilt. Moreover, I found that quite a few people experienced the same issue http://ashley-fumiture.pissedconsumer.com/ashley-fumiture is-toxic-20120909344534.html ?they must have been aware of this, the website seemed to be somehow manipulated lately).

The product, in the report: TV Stand, Coffee Table, two end tables. The glass panels in the furniture. Purchased as set. Ashely Furniture Drake Style

The consumer says that at 9 months old her baby was found with lead at a level 3.3 in his blood. Her home was tested for lead by a lead program in her community. The only items that had lead in the home was the furniture. The consumer says she contacted the retailer by phone in December. They told her they may offer a reimbursement of the product. She was also told by the manufacturer that she was making all of this up. She then sent copies of all her reports and the proof that she purchased the furniture.
